Quick simple pasta
with Seasonal Vegetables.

カニと季節野菜のシンプルパスタ

  • Simple, olive oil based pasta, seasoned by salt and white pepper.
  • Using seasonal vegetables would be good. For the example pasta, we have put eggplant, potherb mustard, yellow zucchini.
  • Spinach sauce.

    ほうれん草ソースのカニパスタ

  • Stir-fry spinach, putting it into blender to grind. Then put it back to frying pan, add fresh cream, crab extract from the can, and some small bits of bacon. (If you have stick blender liek Bamix, you can grind the spinach in the pan.)
  • As we thought that the basil sauce would be a bit strong for Red Snow Crab (King Crab would be good), we have explored spinach sauce. It was SO NICE!!
  • Japanese style with mushrooms.
    (Soysauce and butter sauce.)

    カニとキノコの和風パスタ
    (バター醤油ソース)

  • Stir-fry mashrooms with butter, and light soy sauce (Be careful to add not too much!). Once the mushrooms would become soft, add the crab extract from the can, then blend with cooked pasta.
  • For the toppings, we recommend you to put shredded laver. It would also be good if you use seasoned cod roe or squid. Beefsteak plant would also be good to change the flavor.
  • Pasta in clear soup
    with cabbage.

    カニとキャベツのあっさりスープ仕立て

  • If you feel tired, have upset stomach, this pasta would be good. Just make clear soup with vegetable like cabbage, the to put the crab extract from the can, and pasta. Seasoned by salt and white pepper.
  • If you have gotten well, we also recommend cream soup pasta. For cream pasta, we recommend you to add stir-fried onion and spinach. In order to add salty edge to the taste, small bit of bacon would work well.
  • Tomato sauce.

    カニトマトパスタ

  • Stir-fry onion, red pepper and garlic with olive oil, then to add cut tomato of sour taste. Adding the extract of crab from the can, and laurel.
  • Tomato cream would be better so as to feature the flavor of crab. Tomato possibly be too strong in sourness.
  • Carbonara style.

    カニカルボナーラ

  • Blend raw eggs, fresh cream, the crab extract from the can, powder cheese, salt and black pepper in the bowl. Stir-fry garlic and some small bit of bacon. Once the pasta cooked, QUICKLY blend all so as the egg to be mildly blended. Put some black pepper(coarsely ground) after dishing up on the plate.
  • Cappellini pasta
    in cold tomato sauce.

    カニとトマトの冷製カッペリーニ

  • For cold pasta, tomato sauce and thin pasta like Cappellini would be good.
  • Blend cut tomato, chopped garlic, crab extract from the can, olive oil, salt and pepper in the bowl, then to cool it in the refregerator. Just mix with pasta, which is cooked then chilled in iced water.
  • The sauce once made as the hot tomato sauce and cooled in the refregerator, would also be good.
  • Peperoncino style
    with potherb mustard.

    カニと水菜のペペロンチーノ

  • Stir-fry sliced garlic and red pepper in olive oil. If you don't prefer bitterness, remove garlic after it turns into brown color. Add cooked pasta and crab extract from the can, then finally, potherb mustard.
  • If you don't have potherb mustard in nearby supermarket, 芥藍(Chinese Kale) would also be good, we think. (Sorry but if you have any recommendation, please let us know.)
  • Americane sauce
    with broccoli.

    カニのアメリケーヌソースパスタ ブロッコリー添え

  • Firstly, making Americane sauce.
    Stir-fry shrimp heads, chopped garlic with olive oil. When colored, add some brandy or white wine, then burn off alcohol. Add cut onion, carrot, and celery and stir-fry.
    Add cut tomato and laurel and close the lid to stew. Open the lid and stew as to make it half dried up. Strain it with strainer and wood stick. You should press the wood stick to shrimp head so as the extract would come out.
    Once the sauce is done, you can just blend with pasta, adding some fresh creme if you prefer mild tase. Adding some boiled broccoli or asparagus would be good.
  • If you have found ready-made Americane sauce in the supermarket, you can use it.
  • Crab innards sauce.

    カニみそパスタ

  • If you can get canned or frozen crab innards, this would be interesting recipe.
    Stir-fry chopped onion, some red pepper and garlic with olive oil. Then add crab innards, white wine or Japanese Sake, some sugar or Mirin(Japanese seasoning), salt and pepper, then stir-fry it with low fire power. Adding the crab extract from the can and cooked pasta, then top crab meat.
