Hello to all Japanese garden enthusiasts!
Well it now seems that Winter has finally finished and we are now in Spring
here in England.
It certainly seemed to be one of the longest, if not coldest, Winters
for quite some time.
All this cold has meant that plants such as Hellebores have been very
late in flowering.
A great shame for the Japanese hellebores enthusiasts who visited the
UK in February to look at the
hellebores. I have attached a couple of pictures that I took at Ashwood
showing their hellebore
tunnel. The hellebores in this tunnel need to be checked by
the Ashwood hellebore breeders before
being taken out and displayed for public to purchase.
We are now approaching the Easter holiday period, so I will need to
start cleaning my old pots in time to
plant some vegetables seeds with the kids when they are off from school.
Happy gardening!
